Terms & conditions of use

A short, plain-English set of terms for the use of farndoncharities.com.

By using this website you agree to the terms set out below. They are intentionally brief; we are a small parish trust and our website is a modest thing.

Last updated: May 2026

1. Who runs this site

This website (farndoncharities.com) is published by Farndon Charities, an unincorporated registered charity (charity number 219005) with its registered office at 6 Plover Close, Farndon, Chester, Cheshire, CH3 6RG. Our public record is at the Charity Commission register.

2. How you may use this site

You may read the pages of this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may share links to specific pages on social media or by email. You may print pages for personal study. You may not republish substantial parts of our text, our images, or our visual identity without our written permission — please email [email protected] if you would like to do so. We grant permission generously where the purpose is consistent with our mission.

3. Intellectual property

All text on the site is © Farndon Charities 2026, unless attributed otherwise. The original John Davies trust deed (1722), the Hannah Yarwood will (1840), and the 1962 Charity Commission Scheme are public documents held at Cheshire Archives, Chester. Photographs commissioned for this site are licensed for use by the charity. Partner logos are the property of the respective organisations and are used with permission.

4. Donations

This website's donate form is a sample interface. It does not process real payments. Real gifts are received by cheque, bank transfer, or in person at parish events; please see the donate page for current details. Once a real gift has been received, the trustees treat it as a binding gift to the charity and apply it to the fund you specified (or to the general fund if you did not specify). Gift Aid declarations are processed and stored as described in our privacy policy.

5. Accuracy of information

We try to keep the site accurate. The financial figures, programme descriptions, and trustee details are updated each Easter at the latest. We cannot guarantee that every figure is correct on every day of the year. If you spot anything wrong, please write to us at [email protected] and we will fix it within seven working days.

6. External links

This site links to external organisations (the Charity Commission register, the Information Commissioner's Office, our partners, OpenStreetMap). We do not control or endorse the content of those external sites; their own terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for any indirect loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The ‘last updated’ date at the top is the authoritative record. Material changes will be flagged in the next quarterly dispatch.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising under them.
